I got the idea from the positivity post...
Will you buy a "gender neutral" outfit for the baby to come home from the hospital, or will you purchase a boy outfit and a girl outfit so you can have them in their "true team colors" when you leave?
*I think we will be purchasing one of each.
Re: Team Green Ladies
We will purchase one of each.
Like I mentioned in the positivity post, the babe will wear so much brown, yellow, and green in the first few weeks/months after birth until we can get gender-specific clothes. I'd like the babe to have at least one thing that is gender specific from the start.
My MIL called the other day and said she found the outfit she brought DH home in. He's the youngest of 4 boys, but she made an all white outfit for him that's pretty gender neutral. I would try and bring baby home in that. We'll see.
If not I would buy one of each.

"Well I've waited so long, so long, so long For someone like you And as this morning breaks through the window pane It reveals the truth Baby, you're my sunshine, first light Find your way to places that only know lies Failed tries and bruised skies With hardly time to hold on or be strong, now I'm strong 'Cos like the dawn you push it all away I tell ya, you're my sunshine
Everybody needs a little sunshine"

I'm only Team Green because DF is resolute in not wanting to know. If he said "Let's find out," I would be all over it. But it seems unfair for me to find out when he absolutely doesn't want to. I'm very conflicted. Especially now that it's twins and I'm getting more ultrasounds with more opportunities to find out. It would be a lot easier if I was only getting a couple. I told the doctor yesterday that a good compromise would be to find out the sex of one, and everyone laughed, but I'm like, "No, I'm serious." This is totally destroying my inner planner.
Anyway, if I hold out, I would be getting a boy and girl outfit (or I guess, if we're twins all the way, 2 boys and 2 girls outfits).
i want team green, DH wants to find out....we still have some time to figure this out, but if it makes DH feel more connected to the LO then i might cave....
but if we stay team green i will buy 1 of each :-)
I actually already have a coming home outfit
