Thank god it's Anna and not Michele. Why do they have to go on the Today Show everytime they are pregnant, find out the sex, or pick a name. Once the daughters are old enough to breed they'll be on there every other day.
I was kind of surprised that they announced it to the world this early (due in June) if she'd just had a miscarriage a few months ago. I dunno, maybe I'm just overly cautious!

Haha! I love the Duggars! I wonder how many Josh and Anna will end up with?! And I kinda hope Jim Bob and Michelle are done -- I mean hasn't she used up all her eggs already?!

I agree - I love them! If Josh and Anna keep having babies they'll need a much bigger house. Their house is really small.
EDIT: I just read the article and I'm curious to know what Jim Bob and Michelle thought about Josh and Anna's miscarriage. When JB and M had their miscarriage, they thought it was like God's way of punishing them for using birth control. Hahahahaa
I dont know how I feel about the Duggars. They have a beautiful family and their children are SO well behaved but I think its messing with fate to keep reproducing.
Her pregnancies and deliveries have gotten more difficult and shes having other health problems not related to pregnancy. I just dont agree with continuing to have children with every passing year you are more prone to difficulties. Josie barely survived I think they should count their blessings, they have quite a few.
Quite honestly how do all the children get quality one on one time with their parents? They dont and I think thats unfair. My mom had six kids so she was pretty busy but she made sure we each had "mommy dates" where she would take out just one of us to dinner or shopping. She made sure we knew she cared about what we were going through and just took the time to be there, looking back on it now I realize how much it meant to me.

I sure hope Jim Bob and Michelle are done too. She could get really lucky and have a normal pregnancy with the next one, but I'm not sure I would chance it.
Josh and Anna seem like they have their own thoughts to me, like they won't just follow what his parents did.. but it makes you wonder when they say stuff like what they did in that People article.

I was just glad to see Anna doing most of the talking on the Today Show interview this morning. Josh usually talks for her on all occasions so it was refreshing for her to have a voice.
UGH. I have struggled with unexplained infertility for a long long time. When I see a family like this....it makes me sad for my friends who still are not pregnant. Life can be so unfair at times.
I am happy for the son and his wife for their second blessing.
in the past i really liked the duggars and their show but as time passes it seems a little rediculous to me ok so they dont believe in birth control ok but they could use the family planning method and if they honestly dont believe in that there are other things such as adoption because there are people out there who want children and can provide the proper care, time and attention to these kids.. sure it would be fun to have a large family as i want one but 6 is our max by then we are done unless theres an oops somehow but im thinking we prob wont even have that many and one of us will be "fixed" ... its not just the money factor thats what ppl say because them being out of debt is great but things like the kids quality of life they live like there in an orphanage the amount of kids and life style without attentive attention from parents idk.. sorry turned into a rant..

IMO, how can people say they admire/respect/look-up to this family? The Duggar family is rediculous. Her kids are raising kids. She is NOT raising those kids, I don't care what anybody says. How can you devote time and attention when you have 19 kids??

I agree with this 100%!!! Is there really one on one time with them, heck no!! There's no way! They do have a beautiful family and are very fortunate for all the kids, but think about it, who is raising her kids?? Her children are!
First, how many of you actually know families this large IRL? I know several large families (containing 13, 15, and 26 kids each) and it is unbelievable how well these families function. The kids are always so well behaved, and the amount of love that these kids/parents have for each other is just indescribable. I?ve had several of these people tell me that they wouldn?t trade being a part of a big family for the world. Maybe there?s others that know of different experiences, but IMO it?s not really fair to judge large families if you don?t know any personally.
Regarding the idea of leaving the amount of children you have up to God?to be honest, I really struggle with this one. I still go back and forth with it in my mind and have not come to a set conclusion. As far as BC causing a miscarriage, I believe the Duggars thought it caused an abortion (I could be wrong here).I believe their theory was that the BC thinned the lining of her uterus so much that when she did mistakenly ovulate, the baby couldn?t attach to her uterus, thus a failed pregnancy. Anyway, just an example, but my step-mother-in-law?s parents did not believe in BC and left their number of kids up to God. They had two. So it doesn?t necessarily always mean a super large family.
Sorry that was so long. Those are my thoughts on it.
I am convinced that coffee is God's gift to mothers.

I know several families with lots of kids. 13,15 and 16 kids. One of the men from the 13 kid family goes to church with my dad and he says that he did enjoy have so many siblings but he felt overlooked a lot. He says he knows his parents tried it was just so hard to have a conversation and get advice with so many other children needing to be fed, changed and looked after.
My aunt wanted to be one of these ladies. She had 7 horribly hard pregnancies and 3 or 4 m/c. She had GB with all of them, pre eclampsia (sp) and crazy blood pressure. She hemorhaged with 3 kids after delivery. Her doctor finally told he she HAD to stop, he wasnt going to be her OB if she kept putting her life and the lives of her children at risk. She still laments the fact she only has 7 while all her friends have 12 or more. Im just glad she listened to sense, my uncle finally told her enough.

I love the Duggars and think their decision to have as many kids as God allows them is not crazy at all. I would love to do the same. What is better than family?
They spend more time with their kids than most people because they are home all day with their kids where most parents work and send their kids to school or daycare. I am sure there are plenty of only children or kids with one or two siblings that get little to no one-on-one time with their parents for whatever reason.
It's just a different way of life that I can respect.
Oh and that is exciting that Anna is going to have her second I just hope she spells this child's name correctly.

I think the Duggars are great. Do JB and M need to be done? Well I think so just because of the health issues she is experiencing. BUT if they can take care of and love their children I don't see why anyone has issues with it. I'd much rather them have 20 kids that they can take care of, and mold into productive members of society than I would like my tax dollars going to welfare to support someone with 3 kids who refuses to work.
As far as the quality time thing goes? Well I can see where some of you are coming from, but at the same time they do LOTS of things with their children. They break them up in to small groups so they can spend more time with them. Just like JB took a few of the girls to a father daughter camp. If we want to be honest someone could ask the same thing about duel working families who put their children in after school care until 7pm. Or what about military families? My husband wont get to spend nearly as much time with our children as a 'normal' dad would. And what if I HAD to work for us to survive? Does that make us less fit to have children? I think not.
Not that any of the above even matters because the article isn't even about JB and M. Its about Anna and Josh! lol They are having their second child, big woop. And at the end of the day its not our family, its theirs.
Re: Another Duggar baby
OMG! I'm sorry but I can't stand when people use the phrase "we'll have as many kids as God wants us to have."
And I'm quite sick of hearing about the damn Duggar's. I know they are a great family but WAY too many kids for my liking. Just my opinion.
