Hey guys, thanks so much for all the well wishes everywhere! The end of the pregnancy was quite the adventure, but we are all home now adjusting. I ended up delivering at 35k6d.
As I mentioned in my blog, Oct 20, while at home I took my blood pressure at home randomly and it was alarmingly high, so I rested a bit and retook the test, and it remained high. When I called OB, they asked I go to L&D. Babies were doing great, and a bunch of labs were run on me, including a 24 hr urine test, which resulted with no protein. After 3 nights in the hospital, I was diagnosed with hypertension, but went home (Oct 23) with a repeated 24 hr urine test.
Oct 25 I took the collection to the lab and bloodwork was repeated.
Oct 26 I went for follow up appt with OB; BP remained high. Afterwards, we headed to maternity ward as SIL gave birth to my beautiful niece!
Oct 27 I retook my BP at home, and it was the highest it had been! My mom took my to the fire station to confirm the results, and they were correct. As I was calling OB, he was calling me! Turns out I had a lot of protein in urine, and was now diagnosed wit Pre-Eclampsia. He told me to grab my bags and head to hospital... scary words to hear! OMG I was going to meet my boys. I called DH to come home, and he too freaked out. LOL My mom and sister helped me pack a bag of sorts.
When we arrived at hospital, U/S tech was waiting for us... boys were still doing great, and estimated to measure @ 6lbs each. My OB wasn't on call, and I was stable, so csection was scheduled for the following morning... good thing since we still didn't have names chosen! LOL
On Oct 28, at 10:36AM, Alexander Javier and Michael Javier were born. Michael was immediately admitted to NICU for oxygen, which he was quickly removed off of within 24 hrs. Alex was later admitted to NICU b/c he swallowed blood during birth (he was born breach). Both were in the NICU for a total of 7 days. Meanwhile, my BP remained sky high, and I was eventually placed on medication. Plus the pain from the incision was unbearable... I honestly didn't think it would hurt that much! I would cry myself to sleep most nights.
All of us were released last Thursday afternoon. On Saturday, BP was at its all time highest. We called OB and medication was increased and has finally dropped to a more stable level. B/c it has been so high, Dh has been taking extra care of me... and seeing him as a father has been such an amazing experience. He is so in love with his boys, as am I.

Oh Jackie! I'm so sorry you have been in so much pain!!! That can be sooooo scary. I remember how I felt after my own c-section. It's been 2 years and just thinking about it still makes me feel upset. I hope the rest of your recovery goes very quickly and that you are back to feeling like yourself really soon.
Congratulations on your two little angels - looking forward to seeing more photos. I'm glad they are both doing well and did not have to stay in nicu for very long!
