I love CDs and would love to expand my stash, but don't want to spend a ton of money to do so. I'm a tightwad, lol. Even knowing it saves $ in the long run doesn't mean I like spending it!
Right now we use GMD prefolds and thirsties covers. At night we use BG pockets.
What are your fav inexpensive diapers? DH prefers hook and loop closures but some more one size dipes would be nice. I wasn't a huge fan of the fitteds we tried, but they were all snap closure so I'm not sure if that was the reason I wasn't as happy.
Re: Cheap cloth diapers
GMD's are our favorite 'cheap' diapers. However, I will say, my BG's, while they weren't 'cheap' have been used for 2 years, and I only paid $13 or so for them (on sale), so all in all, they're pretty darn cheap as well. To be honest, my favorite way of saving money with CDing has been to focus on OS diapers.
Cricketts diapers are fairly inexpensive and have worked well for us for a LONG time (DS is a smaller 2-yr old, and he can still wear the smaller of the two sizes that we've used since he was a month or two old). They are snap, though. www.crickettsdiapers.com $10 at the moment.
My cheap way of buying diapers is buying used. I am a huge fan of Swap Spot (I've bought lots of GREAT diapers from EFFer mamas over there) and Spot's Corner. Also, I've had pretty good luck on ebay - you have to look often and watch closely, but... for example, I got a HUGE lot of diapers that included 14 almost brand new BG OS with all the inserts and tons of other stuff for $125. Not a lot of cute prints or WAHM stuff... but the basics are there!
I like my Kawaii better than my BGs Aplix is soo much better
