My husband LOVES the name Hank Richard for our upcomming baby boy?!? Is this way too old, or will it be comming back!? I dont know if I can get use to HANK! haha but....let me know what ya'll think! Thanks
But to answer the (slightly repeated) question, yes Hank is coming back. It's part of the trend I think of as "granny chic" - where the names of our grandparents and great-grandparents are becoming popular again
I know two little Hank/Henry's IRL. We named our cattle dog Hank several years ago and now we regret it because we love the name Henry for a little boy
Makes me think of Hank Moody (aka David Duchovney (sp?)) on Californication. I would prefer Henry with nn Hank so he has options later in life, but overall a good choice.

I know of so many Henrys who go by Hank, I don't see why there needs to be options... If Hank is Henry, then why can't Henry be Hank? So, I'm proposing a reverse nn.
Despite what PPs said, it's not making a come back, it's only ever breeched 1,000 in like the 1960s.
I love the name, clearly. And, it totally suits him. We are not country at all.
I actually really, really love Hank. I saw someone posting on this site with their son named Hank and I stopped and thought, "How cute!" Why isn't it used ore often? Your hubby has good taste.

It was you!!! I saw your siggy and you put that name on my list. I even suggested it to hubby who dislikes it, but I think it's fantastic!

I'm not a fan of the name. It's sounds really country to me.

I like Hank, but I'd go with Hank as a NN for Henry.
Also, the post title made me think, "Well, better than for a girl!"
Cowboy names are really popular for boys right now. It's right int eh wheelhouse of two trends: cowboy and old fashioned.
My son's name is Hank. Just Hank, not Henry.

hank is one of the ugliest names i have ever heard it is totally NMS, but hey whatever floats your boat.
hank reminds me of someone with braces and greasy hair.
