AW: S moved up a growth percentile!

I know this probably isn't a big deal to anyone else, but it is to me.  For those that don't know - S fell off the charts at 1yr and got the FTT dx.  Did testing, everything normal, so the pedi. said just to push healthy fats, monitor, etc. as long as she was tracking on her own growth curve she was fine.

For about a year after that she hung out at 3rd percentile.  Then she moved up to 10th percentile around 2yrs.  B took her to the pedi yesterday because she had a fever and was complaining that her ear hurt (not an EI, BTW, but likely something viral. blah.) and she's at 25th percentile!

She's still a shrimpy kid but she's a bigger shrimpy kid and that makes me happy.  I've stressed myself silly for the past three years (ok, more than that, cause I stressed while she was in utero, too) over her weight and I finally feel like maybe we haven't totally failed her.

It's all part of my facade.  You know, similar to the one where you try to convince us that you're not actually a man. lol ;)

Understood.  Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go and complain about some random 'pregnancy' discomfort...  *chuckle*  You broads are so funny!  ;)

  • That's awesome! I can only hope to be posting something like this soon. 25th percentile is totally normal! I wouldn't even say she's a very small kiddo. Plus, she is happy, healthy, and so so SO loved. What more could you possibly hope for?
  • Woo hoo! Way to grow, S!!

    Big E (6) & Little E (2.5)
