Please God, I hope so, because I seriously am about to lose my mind. Let me preface it with this, Jenna NEVER had any issues with teething - in fact, I usually didn't even know she was until I saw a new tooth. And I knew how absolutely lucky I was with that - I also told people that I knew I would probably be cursed with my next child - and that may be true...
E had a double ear infection, but it is clearing up. When I took him back to the dr, she said he was "majorly teething" - he already cut his bottom two teeth without too much problem, but she said all 4 of his top teeth were bulging.
For the last 2 weeks, E will not sleep at night. He is up pretty much every 2 hours screaming his bloody little head off and will not calm down until I nurse him. Then, the minute I lay him in his crib (even when he is passed out), he wakes back up screaming. Last night, at one of his wakings, he screamed for a solid hour (and I'm talking screaming, not whimpering) until he fell back asleep. I have done Tylenol, Motrin, teething tablets. I seriously am at my wits end. I am lucky to get 4 hours of sleep a night.
Someone please tell me this is normal and it will pass....
Re: Is this normal (teething)???
Oh Lisa, I'm so sorry As soon as those 4 nasty boogers start pushing through, it'll be major relief for E. So yes, this too shall pass. Sounds like you're doing everything to help soothe him during this painful time. The only other things I can think of:
Also, don't know if you use Hyland's Teething Tablets (that's all we used), but apparently they've did a huge recall a couple of weeks ago:
