Updates: Well, I've got my NT scan tomorrow morning.  Excited to see the little one again, but really nervous about the scan.  I've already had the blood work done, so we'll know the risks right away.  Depending on the results, we may opt to do a CVS test (which they told us could the same day).  So I'm praying for good strong results so we don't have to do any more invasive testing!  

Question of the Week (QOTW):
Anything surprise you about being pregnant (either overall because it's your first pregnancy, or this time around)?  What's the biggest personal myth you've seen busted so far? 

I think for me I was surprised at how crummy I feel all the time.  Sure, I'd heard about morning sickness, but either because of the way family and friends gloss over it, or its portrayed in the media, I never quite expected it to be so ever-present.  Very naive of me, I know!  I think too it's hard for me because I hardly ever get sick, so feeling ill for weeks on end is new for me.  I hope it will taper off a bit in a few weeks, but I now know that it may persist.  At the same time, if this is what my baby needs from me, I will tolerate anything to bring it safely into the world!

No lists or tickers for me until after my first appt on Dec 10th.  I'm not even that superstitious, but I'm going to wait.    But I will still post.

Nothing exciting for me this week.

As far as surprises - I guess I'm a little surprised by how easy it is for me to forget that I'm pregnant this time around!  I guess with a 1yo I am so consumed with what's going in her life right now.  I'm getting to the point now, where I'm v. conscious of my belly when I roll over in the middle of the night - and it seems to catch me by surprise.  Weird.

Hi there, just checking in real quick.  My little one arrived a couple weeks early and was born on November 3rd.  She is perfectly healthy and doing great.  We had no idea she was a girl and my husband and I both really thought she was a boy during my pregnancy so we were surprised when she was born.  We named her Gabrielle Ann and we are so in love with her!  Her big sister is doing great and just needs to be reminded not to touch her face but otherwise all is going well.  I'm out of time and can't remember how to change my ticker.  Thanks for the support during this pregnancy!  Good luck to everyone here.

Anything surprise you about being pregnant (either overall because it's your first pregnancy, or this time around)?  What's the biggest personal myth you've seen busted so far?  

I'm surprised by how lackadasical my OBGYN is - if I didn't like the perintologist so much, I'd probably switch to a new office/doctor. I have to drag everything out of him.  The biggest irritation so far is that the office didn't do a very good job of monitoring when I should have testing done:  my 2nd Tri screening results will not be back until it is to late for the results to even matter (not that they would to us, but it is a total waste of resources at this point IMO).
