Playgroups in Huntsville?

I know of the one at Crestwood, but I have yet to see or hear any info about it from when i signed up... I really should call them. Do any of you go to that one? Anyone have any good info on a twice a month or monthly playgroup? I have been in a slump again lately and would like to make some new friends for both William and myself. Especially now that he is walking and interracting more with other young children.

I used to take Caleb to the Crestwood playgroup and I believe Fran still takes Caroline.  They meet on Thursdays from 11 - 1 at the Women & Children's building next to the hospital.  They alternate weeks for babies and toddlers.

The other playgroups that we go to are through MOPS and MOMS Club.  Let me know if you are interested in either of those and I will get you the info.

Monica is right we go to Crestwood on occasion....not as much as we used to though.  Next week is the toddler group according to my emails.  We've pretty much stopped going because on the toddler weeks, a lot of moms are bringing really young babies and that bugs me.  I didn't bring Caroline to a toddler group until she was over a year.  Plus, most of the other toddler moms that I got to know through the group are no longer attending (due to starting preschool, etc...).  Instead we get together outside of group at least once a week.  That being said, it's a wonderful group!  I've made some great friends from there and Jane (the coordinator) is absolutely wonderful!   You just need to show up...no need to wait for any information.

Thanks for the info. I did know if I could just show up or not. William is in that in-between stage right now. He walks well and interacts with a few other toddlers (16-24 months). I really did like Jane from when she was my LC. I'll probably call ahead to check to see which group he'd fit into. Thanks again!
