So, I am finally going to break down and buy some maternity jeans and leggings this weekend. My pants are starting to really cut me off!
I was looking at A Pea in the Pod at the True Religion jeans and they all say to order your pre-pregnancy size. I feel like my butt and thighs are also growing, my question is- do maternity sizes run roomier in areas where you are going to grow? Or should I order a size up?! I am not familiar with maternity clothes! TIA
Re: Maternity Clothes Question
I bought a pair of Joe's Jeans in a 31 from a Pea in the Pod for comfort. I usually wear a 30.
I was keeping in mind that my sister bought her Citizens too small early in her pregnancy and had to go back for a bigger size after a couple months.
That's what I am scared of, buying some now that won't fit after a few months! I am usually a 26, I was thinking a 27 but I guess I have to just try some on. I wanted to look at the Joe's too... thanks!!
I had to go down two sizes when I bought my maternity clothes. 1 I think because I was puking for 3 months, and the other because maternity pants sometimes are a bit roomier...but it just depends on the brand and your body type.
The only tried and true is to go try them on.

Maternity clothing is so frustrating for me. I'm usually an 8 but when I was trying on 8's they were WAY too big in the thigh and butt for me. I've actually had to go down to 2's and 4's to get them to fit right and they are still a little loose in those areas with room for my belly to grow.
I have only looked at Kohls, Target and Old Navy, so nothing very expensive. At their prices I'm willing to go back in a few months if I need to because I outgrow them but there is no way I would have fit in my pre-pregnancy size.
ETA: I have not lost any weight since getting pregnant so it's not like I have truly gone down 2 sizes. My pre preg jeans still fit everywhere except the stomach.
