Most of the squares are totally gone, but there are some that are still intact. The material is SO thin and they aren't in one section of the quilt or I'd jut cut and frame it. I could frame a few squares I guess, but I'd love to turn it into something more useful. Ideas?

Re: What to do with vintage threadbare quilt?
Oooh I like the stocking idea...it's way too thin for potholders, and ours get SO dirty that it wouldn't hold up well.
This is one my great-grandma made so it's REALLY important to me.
i like panicked's idea!
could you double it up and sew it up so that it's half the size but now double the thickness?
could you turn it into a pillow?
could you sew it into a little outfit for LO?
i hope you find a good project for it. i love stuff like this.
you might also try googling it. i'll bet there's a ton of stuff on there as well...
Hmm...I don't have many pictures of her as I remember her, but I do have a bunch from when she was a kid. Maybe I can do something with that...
