So, what does ADHD look like?

I've researched the topic and know the sign and checklists, but what does it truly look like in a dx. child?

My son has a lot of energy. He does not like to focus on activities which require a lot of concentration (crafts, coloring, writing). We recently had someone observe Trevor in a mainstream class and in his self contained classroom for children with language disorders. She said he is "fidgety," but was able to sit through a 45 minute story lesson and make transitions. He has difficulty making friends and in crowds he just doesn't know what to do with himself. He ends up acting out, but I truly think he can not control himself.

So, if you have a child dx with ADHD, how did the condition manifest in your child and should I consider getting Trevor screened?
