my boobies are now officially my own
DD has officially weaned herself.
We had been nursing about every other day for awhile, and a couple weeks ago she refused a bottle and asked to nurse. I was soooo happy.
That was our last nursing session.
I've tried to latch her a few times since then with no avail. A couple times she bit me and then laughed, a few other times she shook her head no and said "up!"
It was a wonderful 14 months and we did make it a full 12 months (plus a week) exclusively breastfeeding --- never had a drop of formula. I'm pretty darn proud of that.

Seriously proud! That's awesome!
But I understand...we're still at 2-3x a day and I know that while some days I dream of this happening, it will also be sad.

I'm ready to wean but Evan isn't so far...I hope at some point he gives it up as nicely as your DD!
