Settling In.....Finally!!

It's been a while since I lasted posted, but we got a house a much nicer than the one we were looking at. Thanks to my mom and my stepdad with the financial part of it we are in our nice house and starting to settle in.

I had my glucose tolerance test done this past Friday and it wasn't too bad when I did it, but it got nasty after I did the test. Not sure if anyone had the same problem, but let me know if you did or not.

I did the fasting like the doctor said no eating or drinking after midnight. I got up at 6am to get ready since the lab opened at 7 and I can go right in and get it done. No problems in there drinking the stuff that tasted like Sprite/Sierra Mist syrup. Sat in the office for an hour after drinking the stuff got two tubes of blood out one for the glucose and the other for H&H. I came home and was so tired from not getting much sleep I ate a couple pieces of toast with peanut butter and fell back asleep.

I got up around 1130 to go meet my mom at the store to take her home since I took her car to do the bloodwork and go home. I felt like I was going to pass out or felt like I had just passed out. So I found some stuff that would help bring the blood sugar back up. That did not work. I continued to eat small snacks and a normal dinner that night and drank fluids and I was still feeling funny so I called the ER and spoke with a nurse. They were no help at all.

I went about the night with the haunted house that we had for the kids at the fire hall and drinking plenty of fluids the whole time. I came home and went right to bed. I got up the next morning and felt fine. Last night was trick or treat. Hubby and I went out to the fire department that we serve with and handed out candy on the cub cadet rescue vehicle that the department has. It was so cute to see the kids in their costumes and started giving me ideas for next year for the little one to go out in.
