how many postpartum OB appointments?

Hi everyone, this is a way premature question for me personally, but I am working out my flex spending costs for next year and I was wondering how many visits you had to your OB postpartum? Thanks for the input!

  • 1 - at 6 weeks PP.  I had a uneventful pregnancy and vag birth.

  • I had an incision check @ 2w pp & an appt @ 6w pp (c-s)

these should be included in the total cost of pregnancy

  • 1 at 6w pp, like everyone said

However, most OBs do a lump sum for all pregnancy care, which includes all prenatal visits, delivery, and your postpartum visit. Then you would have the hospital fees, anesthesiologist fees, etc. But from your OB you would not pay per visit for pregnancy.

Actually, I pay a copay every time I go with my insurance.  Now I also work for a hospital so if I give birth at my hospital, which I plan to do, everything will be covered 100%.  That does explain why it seems like I'm the only one that ever pays a copay while Im there though...
