Trouble TTC

Hi Ladies.....New Here

I have been lurking on here for a few weeks.  Long story short DH and I have been TTC since Oct 2006.  I had bloodwork/Hsg and everything was fine.  DH had a SA which showed high count, below norm mrph and 40% motility.

We did 2 rounds of IUI/Clomid Oct/Nov 2009.  I didn't go back for more rounds because I read too much about IUI's not really being very successful with low motility.  I am 29 and DH is 42.  We decided to try for another yr after the failed IUI cycles naturally.

DH is taking Fertilaid for Men and Motility Boost made by Farehaven Health.  I am also taking Fertile CM just incase my CM is hostile of not enough.  We started this Oct 6.  We are kinda on a TTC break to give everything time to kick in.  We will pick up 'trying' this Dec when it has been close to the 3 month time frame for DH to produce new swimmers.

Happy TTC to everyone and hope everyone gets there long deserved BFP!

-Allison

Welcome and GL to you!  Based on new OWH standards - 40% motility is considered normal.  What were your post wash counts with your IUIs?  If his count is high and his motility is 40% they should have had the full chance of working.

That being said, I know they didn't work so it doesn't take any of the pain away.  I hope you are successful very quickly with whatever steps you decide are next!

It's nice to have such a warm welcome!

zookbride-Roll Tide sister!  And no I did not go to Bama, but was married into a family who is from Alabama and total Bama fans.  I couldn't help but become a fan!!  They are GREAT!  Roll Tide Roll!

I am hoping that DH's swimmers will improve greatly and we will maybe have a better chance come the next few months.  His motility is not terrible, but to hear it from DR's he has no chance.  i don't believe that which is kinda silly since it has been 4 yrs.

His post wash numbers weren't that great.  I don't remeber exact numbers, but I remember thinking "what was the point of the wash!"

Thanks for reading my post ladies!!
