best time to check CM

Hi, I have read alot on this board about checking cm, and I think I get the jist of it, but I was wondering if there was a certain time of day best for checking, or do you check more than once a day?

I usually check it through out the day and update my FF chart at the end of the day.

You want to record your  most fertile CM, which may not last the entire day. So take notice throughout the day and then record the most fertile type for that day.

I'm pretty sure that TCOYF recommends checking at least 3 times throughout the day, and you record the most fertile CM. Good luck!

ETA- I personally check several times throughout the day.

I will usually check my CM first thing in the morning and record it in FF.  But I will continue to check it throughout the day and will change it if as a PP said  if I get more fertile CM later in the day.

I checked internally first thing in the morning and recorded that in FF.  However, if I saw more fertile CM later in the day I would use that.  That was rare for me, though, since I mostly only saw fertile CM while checking internally.

I agree with everyone else. I check it when I go to the bathroom and wipe. I just check the TP and my panties. I don't check it internally.

Thanks Ladies, now my question is what day in the cycle do you start checking? right after AF is over? or closer to when you think you might O?

I checked every day after AF ends...including before O and after O.  I think it really helps FF pinpoint O when you chart CM every day.
