Has anyone taken their child(ren) there? I just went for a tour this morning and it's pretty cool. They have a small space but have done a lot with it and have a lot of interactive activities for young children. They have live animals, a planetarium (probably better for older than 4), a bone exhibit, diner drive-thru.

Children 0-3 are free and 4-12 $3 on weekdays and $4 on weekends. Adults are $5 on weekdays and $6 on weekends.

Also, Crocker Art Museum is going to be opening a new children's area, they will have activities, lending library, etc. This will start within the next 6 months. I'm working on their contract and it should be signed by Jan. 1st.
