Did you all POAS after your MC? How long til AF?

I'm over a week out from my D&C and thinking about peeing OAS to see if my levels have dropped. Is that ridiculous?

 My doctors isn't doing any bloodwork, and I'm not even getting an exam if everything is okay on my end, just a phone conference w her.

 My last MC I got AF back in a month, but I wasn't as far along (the baby wasn't, anyways) with that one. The last time I had my betas measured at 6w along I was over 20000. Seems like it might take awhile...

    I got my period about 6 weeks after my D&C.  Everyone is different....on average it takes 4-6 weeks for you to get your period.  I was worried when my AF took too long so I did poas 2 days before I got my AF...it was negative.

    BFP#1: 7/14/10.  EDD: 3/19/11--MMC-- D&C 9/2/10.
    BFP#2: 12:22/10.EDD: 8/30/11 C/P 12/25/10

    My doctor told me to take a hpt 3 weeks after my natural miscarriage.  I did 2.5 weeks after and got a very faint line.  At 3 weeks, there was no line.  I just got my first AF yesterday exactly 5 weeks post miscarriage.  I did have one blood draw a week after my miscarriage but they never called me back to tell me what my numbers were at that point.

    HPTs are so sensitive now that if you do one just 1 week out, it will probably still be positive (even though your betas are dropping), so I'm not sure it would really give you any helpful information.

    On a personal level, I think it would just make me sad to see a positive after my D&C.  If you're concerned, talk with your Ob - I would be surprised if he/she wouldn't be willing to order a beta level (or a few) so you can be assured things are progressing appropriately, which doesn't sound like an unreasonable request if there isn't other scheduled follow-up.  Good luck!

    I miscarried almost 3 weeks ago.  My doctor drew blood last week, and my HCG was 74.  He told me to POAS in a month to make sure it came back negative, and to call if it came back positive.

    My Dr. never took blood so when I didn't get my period 6 weeks after my d&c i went to the dollar store and got a few tests. The came up negative and I finally just got my period 10 weeks after my d&c. My Dr. was going to have me come in at 11 weeks if I still had not got it. I would call your Doc if you are worried but would not take a pregnancy test until a good few weeks after your d&c. good luck to you and I am sorry for your loss, it all stinks!

    I didnt poas because my hcgs were down to 10, which is un-detectable on a hpt anyway.  If it would give you relief then you should do it, just to see that you get your bfn.  It could take a few weeks though before you stop getting faint positives

    I am happy to report that I POAS this morning and got a BFN.  Such a strange thing to be happy about after hoping for so long for a BFP.  Such is life.

     I miscarried last monday (10/18).

    I did not POAS after my cp because I did not want to see that BFN.
