Sinuses - I Need HELP!

Hi all! 14.5 weeks here. For a few weeks, I've had a very stuffy nose and the last week it has just gotten progressively worse.

I've tried (doctor approved) Benadryl, Claritin, Tylenol Sinus Congestion Sever, saline nose sprays, Vicks Vapor Rub, Neti Pot, steamy showers with peppermint oil, warm compress over my forehead and sinuses - basically everything I can think of.

The last few days have been miserable; I have to breathe through my mouth constantly, which is resulting in chapped lips and a sore throat - and I'm blowing my nose so often it's raw. Please, is there someone out there who can help me?! It's not a "sinus infection" as the mucous is perfectly clear (not yellow or green) and I've never had allergies before (not to mention the antihistamines did nothing to help). Thanks in advance!

  • If they're not working, stop taking the meds. Sleep with a humidifier next to your bed and say a prayer that it will end for you soon. I'd recommend keeping up with the neti pot at least once or twice a day. My congestion hasn't been that bad, but it sucks at night. I put medicated blistex on before bed and keep water on me at all times. Feel better.

  • I have been super congested lately, and I found the only way I can breath while I sleep some nights is Breath Rite strips.  They work wonders for me.  I hope you get to feeling better soon!

  • I'm 26wks today and unfortunately, my sinuses have been the way you've described sine I got my BFP in June! It's misery. I've never had allergies in my life, and if it IS allergies, I have no idea what it's to since I'm like this all the time and it doesn't get worse around dust, or cats, or pollen, etc. It's just always like this.

I've been through 2 paper towels (they're bigger and sturdier) and 2 long bits of toilet paper. It's constant.
