Cost of a pedi?

I usually do it myself but when i was 9 months pregnant, my friend from CA, treated me to one for $25. That was the lowest we could find in the area. The closest nail salon charges $36. This shocked my friend cuz she is used to paying just $20 and she even gets cute flowers painted on for no extra charge! How much do you pay for a pedicure?

  • I go to an absolutely no-frills nail shop, and it is $35.  I'd love to find someplace to do it for $20-25, but I don't think $35 + tip is bad.

  • I go to Fashion Nails. It's inside the empty Biggs place in Eastgate. They are still open for business! Anyway, I pay $35 for a Mani AND Pedi. I think they do a really great job. I have been many places including upscale salons and while you may not get the hot towel treatment and a relaxing salt scrub, you can expect your nails to look pretty great. I think a Pedi alone is $25 but don't hold me to that. I always get both so for $35 + tip

I've been to that Regency that's in where Bigg's used to be.  It's a school, so it's students, but I had a mani and pedi there and it was $30 for both.  Plus you get a bottle of OPI nail polish for each service.  I got 2 since it was a mani AND pedi.  The pedi was awesome, the mani was OK, although the girls admitted (my mom went, too) they do WAY more pedis than manis so they had much more practice doing that.  I would definitely go back.

I haven't clicked on the link yet, but do they do fake nails?  I'm ready to quit getting my nails done, I'm fed up with the place I go now.

It appears they do--$22 and up.

Also I came back here to add that I was reading "pedi" as pediatrician before I opened the post.  I was thinking "what do you mean cost of a pediatrician??"  Can I get home now?

Yes, they do. A lady in my office goes there all the time for her acrylics
