Strollers??

I'm posting on behalf of a friend (as well as for me later).  She is expecting #2 in Jan and her #1 will be 23 mths old by then.  How does the stroller situation work out?  Should she buy a double stroller?  Do they make ones for a toddler and for an infant in a carrier? Or do you not bother with stollers at that point? Figure that you ladies would be the experts!  Thanks in advance.

I know graco has double strollers that accommodate their car seats and many of the other brands have adapters that are compatible with a few different car seats. I don't have my second one yet but I am definitely getting a double stroller. My DS will be about 22 mos when the second one arrives and I can't imagine that he'll be ready to walk around on his own.
