Update - Contractions

Thanks for all of your support yesterday.  When I finally sat down at the end of the day, I noticed that my contractions were 10 minutes apart.  I called the OB again and she told me to go to L&D.  I had contractions on the way there and while we were sitting and waiting to be checked in.  Then they hook me up to the monitor and they stop - huh?  I had contractions all freaking day long and they stop when I get hooked up to a monitor?  I did end up having a few while I was there but nothing worrysome.  And more importantly, my cervix was "hard as a rock" which is very good news.  Also, even though I had been drinking a ton and peeing all day, I wasnt as good at the end of the day so my urine was kind of yellow.  They attributed the contractions to that so I need to stay on top of that even though it is really difficult for me since I tend not to drink much anyway.

So I feel better now, I know that those contractions werent doing anything and if I have them again I can feel more comfortable that I'm not ignoring something potentially serious.  Amazingly, we were only there for an hour and a half.  Thanks for pushing me to go in, it was the right thing to do.  And if going to the hospital made the contractions stop then it was worth it, whatever gets them to stop, right?

Hopefully this wasnt the first trip of many...

good!!  i'm so glad you got it checked out and that they weren't changing your cervix!!

I'm glad you went.  I had the same thing with DS - BH contractions all day, up to 6-8 an hour.  When I finally went in, they stopped...oops  But I felt better knowing that all was well!

So glad to hear it was nothing to worry about. I know how scary it is.
