Tonight DH and I are meeting with our realtor to sign the papers and officially put our house on the market. Obviously, we?ll also be starting the search for a new home. I feel like doing this alone, while pregnant, is pretty crazy. Add it that the holidays are right around the corner and it gives me second thoughts on trying to move before the baby comes.
This morning I wrote a to-do list for the month of November: get our dog into training classes (she?s a good dog, but want her the best she can be when baby comes), sign up for childbirth classes, research day cares, research and select nursery furniture, research travel systems and other big baby items.
DH?s family is coming and staying with us for Thanksgiving (yes, while the house is on the market). I should maybe start to think of beginning Christmas shopping.
UGH! Totally overwhelmed! Before we decided to move forward with listing the house, I felt calm about everything. Now I?m an anxious wreck!
Re: Feeling Overwhelmed!
Whew-- you have a lot on your plate! I am a fan of To-Do lists--even if it's something stupid like "Make bed." It makes me feel more in control and I get such satisfaction of being able to cross SOMETHING off the list!
It will all work out! Just remember to breathe!
This entirely! AND a bonus for me, having my list on paper means I don't have all the chaos running around in my head. You're going to do great!!! Everything comes together and if not, well then that's ok too!
Those things are all on my list, too (except the house-selling). But not all in one month!!!
Baby's not coming until April... you can spread it out a little.
Sign up for your childbirth classes now- those could fill up.
Start pondering nursery stuff, but you don't have to figure everything out right now.
As for the dog training- I would wait until Feb/March. My guess is that the dog may regress if you move anyway, so I'd hold off on that one.
Good luck on everything, take deep breaths, and make sure to get enough sleep.
I'll get off my advice-giving soapbox now.
