Gestational Diabetes Test

Did anyone go for their Gestational Diabetes test yet? If so how bad was it? Did you get sick? I hear all these horror stories about people getting sick and then having to do the 3 hour one, which is worse because you have to drink double the liquid. How much liquid is there to drink too? How bad is it really?

I go for my test on Wednesday the 3rd so i am curious. I am not looking forward to it.
Its not that bad.
Mine tasted like a sprite. I just downed it super fast. It wasnt too terrible until the end where all the sugar was on the bottom.
I've heard of girls who's doctors tell them they can eat a snickers instead...I want THAT test!!!
It's not that bad.
It's a 10 ounce bottle and they give you half. At least mine did. The picture below was from the 3 hour, where you drink the whole thing. I had orange for the 3 hour, and sprite-ish on the one hour.
The one hour is 50g, and at 10 grams per ounce, it's 5 ounces. You likely won't get sick. Imagine the orange drink at McD's. I think people psych themselves up and get sick.
Also, I bring a cup of ice and a straw. Just ice in the cup. Pour it in and drink it fast. I can't stand soda or juice warm, so I drink it really cold. They said I could do that if I made sure any water was poured out of the ice that melted on the drive in.
It's really not that bad. Mine just tasted like cold, semi-flat Coke. I haven't had pop in years, so I actually thought it was good. Seriously.
I've only had the one-hour test (and failed so miserably both times that they just consider me GD without the three-hour test), and it's not bad. I have no idea how bad the three-hour test is - it seems like most people have problems with the three-hour.

I had mine yesterday. It wasn't bad at all. I had the fruit punch drink, and it I had heard how awful it was..but mine wasn't that bad, it just tasted like flat fruit punch soda. It didn't make me feel bad at all either. I never felt sick or anything. However, I was only told not to eat or drink anything after midnight. I would really reccomend not having anything for 12 hours before. I had a bowl of cereal the night before at about 10..and failed the test by 2 points. My doctor said he thought it was prob. because of the cereal.

It wasn't a picnic, but I didn't get sick when I took it with DS. Both tests (the 1 hour and the 3 hour) I drank the orange flavor. The other woman doing the 3 hour test at the same time as me did get sick. She had the lemon lime.
FWIW, I already did a 1 hour this time, in the midst of m/s. Twas lovely. I didn't puke and I had the lemon lime. I am so asking for orange again next time. Ick.
