moms of 2 (or to be moms of 2)- double stroller question

So, we have a stroller that I love - it's a Safety First Acala (not sure if that's the spelling). We're planning on using the carseat that came with the stroller for our next LO - but now, I want to get a double stroller so I can go out with both kids in the stroller. Will our old car seat clip onto any double stroller or do I need to look for something specific? Or, do I just not use a double stroller until my youngest is old enough to sit up in a regular double stroller? I'm totally clueless about this.

I am also looking for a double stroller. From what I have found each stroller (at least the ones I like) require you to get a new attachment for the stroller.

It depends on which car seat you have and what double stroller you are looking at.  Most of the time if you are looking at double strollers on BRU or Target or some other store it will list which infant seats work with that stroller.  We have the chicco keyfit and I'm trying to decide if I want to spend the money on one of the few double strollers that work with it.

I wore my son in a carrier when he was really little.  I bought a double umbrella stroller and once he was able to sit ok in it that is what I used.  Its super light weight and has been awesome for us!

Most double strollers require you to get a car seat attachment.  Many take a lot of different car seat brands too.  You can always look up that info on the stroller website.  I wanted to get a double BOB and get the attachment, but I didn't want to pay over $200 for yet another stoller and I wasn't sure how DS would do with an infant sitting right next to him.  I ended up going with a Kolcraft Contours double stroller that I found on Craigslist for $160.  The ppl selling it had the car seat attachment and everything!

If it doesn't work out, I won't feel bad about what I paid for it.  I also got a Baby Bjorn so I could wear baby and push DS in a single stroller if I didn't feel like doing the double stroller that day....

We have the BJ City Select and I love it. Look up the carseats that are compatible with the stroller you want to use and it'll help.

I'd like to get a sit n stand. I'm looking at the Baby Trend or the MIa Moderno stoller.
