I am waiting to hear if I got a job or not. I should know by the end of the day but some prayers would be greatly appreciated.
My husband and I moved two months ago because he got a new job which will pay really well in time. It currently isn't bringing in enough to support us. (He sells insurance, investments, etc. and is just starting out). I was working at a great place before and had a job lined up when we moved. That fell through so I have been looking for a new job for two months.
I have a back up job doing some temp holiday work but it won't be enough and is only part time. The job I am waiting to hear about would pay really well and would be a great opportunity.
I had been handling the money stress pretty well for the most part but the past few days have been hard and filled with lots of tears. I feel like a horrible mom not being financially prepared for this baby. We haven't been able to buy anything for the nursery and I don't know when we will.
Thanks for letting me vent. T & P appreciated.
Re: Need prayers so I can afford this baby
Dont stress too much about not being able to get everything for the nursery right away. When the baby comes you honestly only need the basics at first - clothing/onsies/pjs, swaddle blankets, infant car seat, diapers, a place for the baby to sleep (may be cheaper to buy a mini crib or basinet first), and formula if you are not breast feeding.
Im sure the situation is not as ideal as you would have hoped for, but if you are having a baby shower you will get a great deal of stuff from that too- try not to register for many clothes but all the basic items you need instead.
I wish you luck in your job search
hugs.
all your baby needs is a place to sleep some diapers and some clothes.
Im a litte stressed too about money so I hear you!
I also am in the insurance/financial services industry and it definetly takes time to get started and get to where it will pay off.
You will make it, I promise!!! For now just take care of yourselves.
A baby doesn't need a fancy nursery to come home to, I know that's what we all dream of, but it just need to feel love and secure, fed and clothed!!
I hope the job works out but I agree with PP you do not need all the junk that they sell for babies. You need the basics and more than anything you need to be stressfree.
T&Ps to you!
