Success after IF

how long did you use your swing for?

the weight limits on these things are complete and utter bs! it says 25lbs but theo is like 13 1/2 lbs and the thing barely moves. we have resorted back to using the glide motion of our swing because it's the only setting that actually moves.

we don't use the swing much anymore but aren't ready to completely get rid of it yet (can not wait since it's in my bedroom). just wondering when you all got rid of your swings.

  • Paige napped in hers every day until 7 months.  We retired it when it would barely swing anymore haha

  • Preston and Jordana were in until 6 months old and Brady was 7 1/2 months old. When they started to sit up is when i put it away. My kids were at least 15lbs before i put it away but it started to struggle to move at that point.

  • We used ours til Nicholas was about 8 1/2 months old.  We had to put it away to make room for our Christmas Tree and stuff.  Then when we put the tree away a few weeks later, we never took it back out.

  • Gosh, it feels like we used it for the better part of the first year.

If you have a Fisher Price swing, call their customer service. If your motor is giving out they will replace it. For free. I just called for a 2yr old swing, and they shipped me a new motor in 3 days. I am SO happy with their customer service. Anyway, just FYI.

  • Until they rolled and always tried to throw themselves out... I think 4.5 months?

After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!

This. We had the FP Lamb swing and used it almost until Elizabeth turned 1. Technically she could still use it since she's only about 23 pounds! We never really used it for play/awake time, just for naps and she used to hang out in it for 10-15 minutes in the morning while DH was getting ready after I had already left.

After 20 months, 3 Clomid cycles and 4 IUI cycles, IVF #1 with ICSI = BFP!

  • Never...youngest hated it
  • we are about to get rid of ours.  it still swings (it's a fisher price), but the babies used to nap in it sometimes, and now they won't sleep in it.  they love the fish and lights, but that's it, and it is way too big to keep around for such limited use.
