XP: Rec your washer/dryer

Apparently today has been a day for washer/dryers....

Our 2.5 year old dryer just died on us .   It's a washer/dryer combo space-saver type so now we have to replace both.  Please recommend your washer/dryer that works well with CDs.  I've heard heard conflicting things about front loading washers (aren't great with CDs?) but since our laundry room is small I think we are going to have to get stackable units. The unit we have now is stacked (with top loading washer).  Please help!
