speech eval

I posted awhile ago about speech delays and Miles had his eval this afternoon. He qualifies for early intervention services, but everything else seems to be going well. In fact, last year he showed a gross motor delay (but not enough to qualify) and this year he scored at the 90th percentile. What a difference a year makes! I'm looking forward to getting the speech appts set up and am relieved he qualified because he's having another open heart surgery soon and that tends to delay things more. But geesh, what a way to end a week. Overall it's a relief but it's still hard to not feel a tiny bit stressed and defensive, if you know what I mean
