So I got my fetal Doppler in the mail today! I was so excited to try it out but after sitting there for 15 minutes I couldn't find the heartbeat. I'm not freaked out just disappointed. I know that a lot of people can't hear it until 12 weeks but I was hoping that I would be one of the lucky few and be able to hear it early.

It took me an hour and a half to find mine from my first pregnancy at 13 1/2 weeks. 

Keep looking. I have been finding it for about a week this time around but it always takes a good long while and I am definitely an expert at it (as you will be by the end of this pregnancy as well).

I am feeling the same way. I bought one (not a super expensive one) and haven't had luck yet. It is frustrating. With DD I was able to hear it at the doctor office at right around 9 weeks.

I heard mine about 9w5dish, but it was down VERY low, like almost into my pubic hair area, and I had to push down a little on my belly.

a few pointers:

drink tons of water.  lay on your back with your legs hanging off the side of your bed.  Start really low....like way lower then you would think and stay somewhat center (below belly button).  not only move the wand left/right/up/down but angle it in all directions before moving on. I normally find the hb with the wand angled up a bit.

With this one - the sound is fairly faint so far so it takes a while to find.  Even my OB had a hard time at my appt yesterday.

So I found it but for only a second and then I couldn't find it again! I will keep trying. My husband left the room because he got board and as soon as he did I heard it for a few seconds!
