Hello Everyone! Sorry for being a day late. Had my regular OB apt Wednesday: still at 1.5 cm which is normal for 38 weeks, I am now off work on official meternity leave. Finally setting up the nursery and trying to get the whole house in a semi-decent shape (we moved in 8 weeks ago). Also started packing the hospital bag, though I forgot what exactly goes in there. So far I have a decent-looking robe/gown, cord blood banking kit, and the going home outfit for the baby.

If anyone is interested in taking over this post as well as weekly congrats, please let me know.

Update: my due date changed from 5/29 to 5/28 (baby measured a day ahead of what I thought it would at my ultrasound appointment on Monday)!

Omg, I am so sorry to hear this! Many T&Ps coming your way! Can you please change my due date to 4-1-11? I just noticed it is listed as the 11th. The anatomy scan is scheduled for 11/15 and we are hoping the little one will cooperate so we can find out the gender. It sucks having to wait, but the OB practice will not to the scan until you are exactly 20 wks. And if anything we can always pay to have the gender u/s, but I would rather save my money.

Hi everyone, I can't believe I"m so close to delivery day.  My doctor has scheduled an induction for November 11th at 7 am if I haven't gone before then.  I've been 3 cm dilated for almost 2 weeks and 80% effaced so we'll see.  The reason for the induction is that my daughter was born very quickly with very little warning and now that we have her to accomodate for we're worried I'll end up delivering on the kitchen floor or in the car (as was almost the case with her).  So, that's a week early which helps put my mind at ease, the anxiety during pregnancy is a lot to deal with especially since my first born son was stillborn.  I also have GD so he wouldn't have let me go past my due date.  This way we hope to avoid an emergency situation.  I'm feeling good and in major nesting mode which has kept me busy and active.  I've only gained 15 lbs total and so pleased with that.  We moved to a new house a few months ago so we had a lot to do to get ready for the new baby but we're almost done.  I also now have a different job and have been training someone else to cover me while I"m out.  Part of my job offer provided me 12 weeks of leave even though I do not qualify, it is unpaid though.  I love this job and unlike my last job when I hated to even think of going back I am looking forward to going back to my job a little earlier than 12 weeks - probably doing some work from home though.  So...lots of different things going on than when I was pg with my daughter but all of them are positive.
