What do you use to clean the tub where LO takes a bath? I'm always worried about using something too harsh and end up cleaning with the Clorox everywhere surface cleaner.
I use all green cleaners, so I just use the multi-use cleaner that I have. I wouldn't worry about chemicals in the tub if you use similar products elsewhere (the floor where LO crawls, the table where she eats/plays, etc.). Just be sure to rinse well.
ETA: There are very simple DIY cleaning "recipes" that you can find by googling as well.
Our tub is a 70 year old steel tub and a nightmare because the enamel isn't so shiny anymore. I use that powdery Ajax stuff. Usually DH and I have showered in there at time or two before he goes in for a bath so I know it's well rinsed and don't worry about it.
I use Method tub cleaner (which is like the Ajax but in a cream...does that make sense?) but you could use baking soda mixed with lemon juice and use the rough side of a sponge.
