Haha... I was literally just reading my friend's blog and her latest entry was about making butternut squash soup and baby food puree for her baby.  She paired their soup with hot sandwiches (like a panini) on crusty bread and a salad.  It looked like a wonderfully easy fall meal.  Unfortunately I don't have the recipe yet.

Ina's recipe is great.  I'm making it for LOs b-day party for the adults.  I do everything except I roast the squash and use veggie or chicken stock instead of water.
