I don't get why the judgment on "surprise"

Condoms and BCP aren't 100% effective, any time you weren't TTC and get pg = surprise to some people. Call it unplanned, surprise or an oops. It wasn't completely intentional TTC.

I dont get why it's anyone elses business HOW your children were concieved. But if you decide to share that information be prepared to be judged...no matter WHAT you say the internet peoples will judge you...

I am not judging the surprise part as much as the pull and pray method of BC. I understand there are other oops that happen. Failed BC due to antibiotic, broken condom, told you will never be able to have a child. Yes, those would be a surprise, in my opinion. I just don't think anyone should be surprised when they used the pull and pray method.

If it was because of someone saying that they got a BFP as a result of unprotected sex and were really upset over it, then yes I can see the judgment.  You knew what could happen (I don't doubt the shock) but should you really be upset over it?

If nothing prompted the thread then it's just bumpies being bored as usual.

And, not to judge, but I Super-Love Condoms. We would be abstinant without them b/c I go BSC on BC pills. Once you get used to them, it's not really as big a deal.

 You're right, condoms and BC are not 100% effective and can fail so if you're using them correctly and still get pregnant, that would definitely be a surprise. But if you're NOT using birth control, why would it be a surprise? Again, basic biology.

I'm not trying to make this personal, because this really is about the masses, but you happened to post about it today. You said that this would be a BAD time for you to get pregnant, but you chose not to use condoms or any other type of BC. That is just contradictory.
