Today is my first day back!  My welcome back present--an intruder drill first thing in the morning.  At least I don't have a class that block though--not fun to try to keep 30 kids quiet!  I already have an e-mail from a parent asking for input on how to get his kid to not screw up this 9 weeks as well. 

 

I went in yesterday for a meeting, and the kids were leaving as I was coming in for it.  First thing I hear are two boys talking (not directed at me) and one of them says "she sucked my d!ck."  Oh high schoolers, some things I haven't missed, and some things never change!

The morning was rough--I was crying before I even met my mom.  I got to spend the drill with my "work mom" catching up, so that was nice.  Once I actually got going it wasn't so bad.  One girl knocked over my coffee cup that holds the overhead marker and broke it--she felt so bad.  Other than that, it's been a pretty good day!
