Frustrated with boy names

I know we have some time, but we'd hoped to have a name nailed down by halloween. Our girl name is all set.

I seriously cannot come up with anything for a boy. Neither can DH.

I had my heart set on Declan, but DH doesn't love it, and it is a little too close to our last name, so I let it go. 

Now I am rooting for Nicholas.

I also added Cole and Liam to the mix. DH suggested Connor and Ian. 

Thoughts?

MN either Robert or James (dad names)

LN is 2 syllables, ending in -on so I am trying to avoid the Austin/Gavin/Owen/Aidan names. That is why Declan just didn't quite cut it!

Girl name is Caroline.

I think Nicholas, Liam, and Cole are all good! I actually like Cole as a nick name for Nicholas (as opposed to "Nick").

My vote goes to Nicholas, with the option for Cole as a nn.

My least favorite is Liam unless you have a special connection to it, then I'm much more in favor.

I love Nicholas, Connor and Ian - so a mix of each of your names.

I'm not a fan of Declan, Cole or Liam.

I think Nicholas James is a great combination.   If you chose to use a nn, Cole or NJ would be cute.    

And as a added bonus, Nicholas and Caroline are a nice sibset.   Can you tell I'm rooting for Nicholas too? :-)

Nicholas by far. I despise Liam.

I'd go with Nicholas. It's just a good classic name, and if you love Cole it works as a nn for Nicholas. Connor and Ian are nms but OK. Getting pretty tired of Liam these days.
