DD is on .75 ml two times per day.
i asked pedi when to give it to her, he just said an hour after feeding. She is often asleep by then..
i also dont want to give her meds to close to feeding time incase she spits everything up.
when do you give meds??
Re: for those with LO's on zantac (or other AR meds)
so you think it gets into their system quickly enough that if they spit up after eating, they aren't spitting up the zantac?
that was my main concern, but i would love to administer meds before feeding so i can get the taste out of her mouth!
Usually at 6:30am and when we get home from work. It's easier when he's crying so we generally wait till he starts crying about something.
We don't usually wait till he's going to eat and just do it when we get home from work becuase he'll eat at daycare at 5:30 and then not again till 7:30 and if he doesn't get his meds by then he's a bear to deal with.
DD was on .75mL 3x per day. the pedi told us we could try 1.125 2/day. The 2/day was not working so we went back to 3/day...she is now up to 1mL.
The pedi suggested we put the meds in a nipple and mix with a bit of formula so it will mask the taste of the meds some. it has worked for us...as has given it right before the bottle.
