If you have inherited your Mom's wedding rings...

what did you do with them?  Do you wear them?  Did you do something else with them or just put them in a special place?  My Dad recently gave me my Mom's wedding and engagement rings.  I am not quite sure what to do with them.  Thanks in advance for your feedback.

  • I have not.. but my mom and my mil both wear their mothers' rings.  my mil wears hers with her wedding ring. my mom wears my granny's on her right hand.    a friend inherited her grandmother's and the diamond was used in her engagement ring.
  • My mom passed away in Feb.  I got her wedding ring, engagment ring and another diamond ring.  I wearr her diamond ring and I am saving her wedding ring and engagment ring to turn into something special for my girls.  I'm thinking neaklaces

  • I wear my mother's original engagement diamond as a pendant on a box chain (super sturdy).
  • I had the diamond reset into a pendant prong setting and wore for a while.  Then the diamond actually came out of the setting (found it!) about 5 yrs ago and haven't done anything with it since.  I also have an anniversary band she had, but it's a bunch of super small diamond that I doubt I can do anything with, so I'll likely just keep it as is.

  • My MIL put her mother's engagement ring in a safety deposit box until DH and I got engaged and he gave it to me.

    Ditto

  • My situation is probably a bit different. My parents are divorced, so when my mom and stepdad got married, my mom gave me her wedding rings from my dad. I've worn it occasionally, but for the most part it sits in a case in my dresser.

  • My mom has my gma's. She wears her ring next to her wedding ring.
  • I had the diamond turned into a pendant that I wear on special occasions.  It is beautiful and I love having it.
