How long did it take for your DC to get his/her social security number?  

We're still waiting and g'ma, g'pa and great-g'ma need it for savings accounts.

We got DS's a while ago.. he was 3-4 weeks old...

DD was only about 1-2 weeks old when we received hers.

It didn't take more than two weeks after he was born for them to send it to us.

We got ours in a week (crazy, isn't it?). We were told it shouldn't take longer than 6 weeks.

At our bank, we were able to open a savings account for DD without her SS number.

They told us to wait about 6 weeks but it came between 4-5 weeks.

We just got DD's the other day. I've heard that sometimes the hospital is the cause for delay.

2-3 weeks. We're still waiting on the birth certificate...

IL advertises that it takes 13 weeks, but with #2 I got his after 6 weeks.
