Moms with girls - if you don't want your DD to have bangs

What are you doing to keep hair out of her face?  My DD's hair is super-fine and won't hold any hair accessory.  We'd prefer that she not have bangs (no offense to those who do), but it's driving me crazy looking at the hair creeping down over her eyes!

  • Have you tried the no slip clips?

  • We had to go with bangs. She would pull out the hair accessories and almost choked on them.

  • High pigtails, low pigtails, and little non-slip clips.
  • try the tiny rubber bands that look very similar to dental (braces) rubber bands. thats what i use for DD - i just pull the front back & to the side so its out of her face. i dont think i want DD to have bangs either. at this age anyway.

  • we used velcro clips until DD's hair was long enough - do a side pony kind of on top of her head like pp or pig tails  we also use barettes too...  Once the bang are long enough I think having no bangs is much less upkeep than bangs!
  • I use a clip and just pin them back to the side for DD. Her friend has similar hair and her mom uses the rubber bands like a previous poster mentioned. They have lots of different colors and it's hard for them to pull them out due to the texture. I just make sure DD never goes to nap/sleep with hair accessories in.

This! I even do this when I put a clip or a bow to keep it from slipping.

  • My DD has bangs for now. We'll grow them out when she's old enough to keep a hair clip in, and the worry of her choking on them goes away.

This is also what we do with her hair. It's so cute.
