some encouragement-my guy got his today and didnt react half as bad as i thought he would. we had prayed for a while that it would go ok, and all is well. he has slept most of the day and only cries a little in between naps. i bet everything will be ok for your lo!!
OH! DS goes for his tomorrow too! And...to top it all off, I have my pap and physical as well.
It will be a great day: i'm going to get poked and prodded in various orifices in my body, THEN get weighed (UGH), then to top it all off, I get to watch my precious LO get stabbed in the thigh four times...lovely.
Hope everything goes smoothly for you and that BOTH of us have an ok night tomorrow!
I think I might dose him with Baby Motrin before we go...

It wasn't so bad. They do it quickly, so that's nice. My LO's face turned bright purple and she didn't even make a peep-she did one of those hysterical silent cries. It took her about 5 seconds to take a breath and start screaming. It was right then that I got to pick her up and she cried for less than 30 seconds before she calmed down.
They let me have the room and I nursed her for about 10 minutes and then we went home. My Dr. said to wait on the pain meds until she is acting like she's in pain. So far, so good. She's taking her usual afternoon nap right now.

Good luck. They usually calm down not too long after it's all over. Sometimes I've found with my boys that their legs got sore and stiff later on that night. I give tylenol as we're going into the appt so that seems to help somewhat.
Re: Not looking foward to tomorrow
Every baby is different, but if it helps my LO took his shots like a champ. He cried for about 10-15 minutes then fell asleep napped much of the day.
Good luck!
