Sorry I'm back again
I thought I was truly done with this board! But I'm back because I'm debating spelling.
I originally wanted to go with Briony. I thought it 'looked prettier'. DH is strongly for this spelling.
But I'm changing my mind and now want to use Bryony. For 2 reasons: firstly, I think it tells a person how to pronounce it - we won't get an interpretation of 'bree-oh-knee' like we would with the 'i'. Secondly, it is the original spelling, it's a plant name, and it is the 'proper' spelling.
WDYT?

Same here.
Me too. I like the Bryony version, if that is truly the proper spelling. I'm not usually a fan of multiple y's, but it that's how it's supposed to be spelled, go with it.
