I am thinking about stopping acupuncture at least until my next transfer (I know I am not out of the game but I am having a hard time having much hope for this cycle and this is giving me something to focus on!) I am sick of spending $70 a pop for something I dont think has helped me all THAT much! Anyway, I was thinking of trying Yoga. I have done PIlates, but not Yoga. And there is a great little place sort of close to me that even offers prenatal yoga (for later on!)
Anyone do Yoga for relaxation, etc and really like it?
Re: Anyone do Yoga?
I have decided to try this...despite not liking it..because I will try anything right now!!..I was reading a book over the weekend and there are certain poses that bring more bloodflow to certain areas....who knows if it will help
I was considering accupuncture...if I only it did not cost so much...
I love it and have been doing it on and off for a long time. It really depends on the teacher and how you connect with them, and the style of yoga. Personally, I think that a great teacher makes a world of difference, and that's such a personal, subjective decision. My suggestion is to take a few classes from a few people before you make any commitments.
That is, unless you hit the ground loving it (I did!).
Good luck with your classes!
I've been doing yoga for a couple of months. I recommend it - very relaxing. I've also been doing Circle+Bloom relaxation/visualization exercises. They say the relaxation benefit is similar to acupuncture, but much cheaper. They have exercises for medicated and natural cycles.
But, you never know; this FET could work out and you will be signing up for pre-natal yoga instead! GL!!?

I love it. I started going to yoga after our loss, and I go twice a week. Initially I was looking for something relaxing and "me time", and also hoped that it would help to eliminate a little of the baby bloat. Honestly, when I don't go, I miss it.
I did find a teacher I really like and it did make all the difference. Honestly, there is no comparison between going to a studio and having a teacher versus a DVD. After one of the classes I explained why I came to yoga, and also mentioned that I was doing to do IVF again and she was excellent at making suggestions for poses, etc.
In my experience, Yin Yoga is the type that would suit you best. Tell whoever you are looking to experience their most "restorative" class.
Thanks! I did see on their schedule that they have this type-I am excited to check this out!
Thanks for posting this! I didn't know about Yin Yoga!
I have been taking Hatha Yoga for a few months now and it's actually quite the strength training workout! I feel good about it, but I can't say it's relaxing. It's at a decent fast pace and intense at times.
Thank you IVF for our little miracles!!
I am a Bikram Yogi, and I love it!! I practiced 5-6 times a week. It helped every aspect of my life! I soooooo encourage everyone to try it, i think it's life changing.
I did it all the way thru lupron and had to stop while stimming. It's not relaxing during the class, its VERY hard. But u feel relaxed after.
