So since everyone hates Monday, how about a thread of stuff we can be thankful for?
My awesome boss and my amazing coworkers are throwing me a shower Thursday evening-- I can't wait! I have been registry stalking a little, I confess, and I'm so excited. Work can be tiring and stressful, but I have great office mates and a boss who is super understanding if I need to go home an hour early to put up my swollen feet.
My husband is the sweetest, best guy ever-- massaging my ankles and hands when they're swollen, picking up stuff that I drop, helping with laundry and stuff, and giving me frequent hugs and kisses.
Ahh... Monday looks better now. ![]()
Re: things to be grateful for on Monday
What a great post, we should make this standard Monday protocol!
I am thankful for a husband who takes care of me when I need it. Being on bedrest isn't super fun and I feel like a huge burden, but he's made me delicious food, run me baths and entertained me all weekend.
I am also thankful that my body is still hanging in. We've got a ways to go, but trying hard!
Leftover Olive Garden for lunch.
Great idea!
I'm thankful that our LO is okay-last week I noticed (pretty significant) decreased fetal movement, so I called my OB and she immediately scheduled an ultrasound for me. Turns out baby was just chilling out, everything is absolutely perfect, and the kicks and punches have returned! DH and I were driving home from mass yesterday, and he turned on the radio and "Like a G6" was playing. Baby started going crazy; moving around, kicking, punching. I think we have a little dancer in training!
Pumpkin eggnog? OMG! That sounds delicious! Is that a regional thing, or is that available pretty much everywhere? I've never heard of it, but I will definitely be checking out the dairy section at our grocery store later this week!
