BooYa! Walmart related, so if you don't care, skip :)

So after the call I had with the woman (right before I encouraged everyone to contact the BBB), I filed a Better Business Bureau complaint because the woman was so incredibly rude to me, acted like I was dumb and basically called me a liar.  After that it really became the principle of the matter of being treated that way, not even really about the car seat (even thought I think its bad business practice to do what they did).  Well, Friday I got a voicemail from the main Wal-Mart.com office about the complaint.  I called back today and explained to the woman that because of the way I was treated, the only way I would retract my complaint would be the fulfillment of my original order.  She tried to offer me an additional gift card, which I said you can, but I'm not retracting my complaint.  I told her basically how I was treated and that after that its truly the principle of treating your customers like that.  She came back and is adjusting the Brunswick (the other is out of stock still) car seat to the $58 and shipping it to the store for me!!!!

This lady actually acted like a person- when I explained how I felt I was treated she basically switched her tone completely and said she completely understood why I felt the way I did.  :-D

 YAY!  I am going to file a 'resolution' follow up with the BBB, to be honest I'm surprised!

    Thanks!  I was just so floored by the way that woman treated me, I didn't feel like I should just let it.  If no one complains, she'll just keep treating people like that, right?   

  • Well, there's a woman who knows customer service. Good for her for handling the situation much more sympathetically, and good for you for now retracting the complaint. Hope you love that carseat when it come in; after all you've been through to get it!

  • Great news!! That's so reassuring to know that people exist there that are actually "real humans."  And I'm so glad that they are taking care of this for you!  You deserve it!

    I got my 58 bucks Brunswick delivered to my door of Saturday.

    By the way. Walmart still does not know what they are doing with the oryginal orders. When I placed mine I also order something else. Then my car seat got canceled but the other item was shipped.

    I  just got email notification that the other item is ready for pick up and in the same email it says that my car seat is still processing and will be shipped soon.

    That's great news! I had to email Walmart last week to ask them where my gift card was that everyone else received and they said "it would arrive in my email shortly" and am still waiting. I'll be emailing them again today to ask for the status. I don't even want to shop there, but I want my $15 based on principal too. They really suck.

    I'm still waiting for mine too.  They never offered it, I had to specifically ask.  I was told I'd get it "within a week or so."

  • Sweet! Good for you for sticking up for yourself and getting some results.
  • You go! That's totally something I would do and people make fun of me for it but honestly, no one will ever be held accountable if people do not complain about poor service and reward for exemplary service.

    This exactly!  If the lady were nice, I probably would have let it go.  But she wasn't, so I didn't. 

  • Sucks about the initial lady, but I'm glad everything finally worked out with it and you talked to an actual human with emotions!
