Hi ladies - sorry I have been posting a bit more on IF with my incessant questions about my first IVF but wanted to update you here.
I went to the Dr this a.m. and I have about 15 follies (yay!) and they are all close in size 1.4 and 1.5. So they think they will trigger me Wednesday night and do the ER on Friday.
I'm doing PGD and so we'll most likely freeze everything and do a transfer next month pending the results.
I'm thrilled I'm responding so well to the meds...but at the same time I feel lousy and am ready to get these things out so really really looking forward to Friday.
Re: ER scheduled for Fri
jcath thanks for posting! I'm hoping I can learn all I can from you and the other IVF gals. What's PGD? Good luck times a million!

It's preimplanation genetic diagnosis - my RE's office will send off samples of the embryo's to have all the chromosomes checked to make sure their are not additions or deletions. Some offices do PGD for just 7 or 9 of the most common chromsomal defects. Most people have a 5 day transfer but my office freezes the blasts and puts the best ones in the next month. It's supposed to reduce your chance of miscarriage and given my age (40) and the fact that I've had two miscarriages it seems wise...though expensive.
