Please tell me this is normal

I noticed that my DS gasps for air at random times but is more prominent when he gets startled. He doesn't turn blue or anything but sometimes he;ll look at his hanging toy from his playmat and all of a sudden gasps for air while raising his hands/arms up. It's really short but it scares me. Anything that has to do with respiratory scares me... I am going to see the dr tomorrow. Is this normal? Has anyone else's LO do this?

HAHAHA DS does that too and it scares the crap out of me. its normal for DS. he does it when he chokes on his spit. first time he did it he was 5 days old. He was sitting up on my lap and i was in the middle of burping him and he just gasped really short and loud like he was suffocating and i was like "OH MY GOD BREATHE!!" and it didnt even phase him once he finished. Still scares me- but I'm not worried about it cause it's usually after a feeding or his spit.

Mine gasps a lot when air hits his face... like if he's in the car and I have the windows down.
