Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Does anyone else remember 1st Tri??

...I hardly do!

I was just cruising around there this evening, and it had me reflecting a bit...back when I hardly knew I was pregnant, when I was exhausted for DIFFERENT reasons, when the concept of having a baby in my ARMS was totally foreign to me, and when I thought that the next 34 or so weeks was going to take FOREVER...I mean, August?!?! that's SO FAR from now!! LOL...

I now have an 8 week old baby, my body pretty much back, I'm still exhausted, but it's because I'm up 2-3 times a night feeding another person...oh, how I totally underestimated how much my life was going to change and how I totally underestimated how much it was possible to love another human being...

While I wouldn't change anything about now, I almost miss the anticipation and "newness" about the idea of having a baby!

  • Your musings are my musings! I was thinking pretty much the same thing earlier.

  • I barely remember as well, the only thing I remember was thinking "ok when am I going to feel pregnant?" and although I felt pregnant in 2nd tri I didn't look it until 3rd tri. But now time has flown by I can hardly remember the day she was born!
  • I was thinking this very thing on Friday. I'm starting to create my daughter's baby book. I'm filling an empty scrapbook with memories and photos (including ultrasound images), starting with the day we got the positive pregnancy test and going forward. I'm having a hard time remembering much of 1st trimester, except that I cried and napped all through the Olympics.

  • I HATED the 1st trimester!  I was constantly nauseous and simultaneously starving, and totally paranoid and neurotic about everything :oP

  • I remember lol. We didn't know I was pregnant til 8 weeks along because it wasn't planned. I had terrible morning sickness til 20 weeks. I really could only eat crackers, peaches & drink Ginger ale. It was so worth it though.
