Those with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis

anyone having a hard time getting regulated on their thyroid meds?  I have had it for 15 years.  I had no trouble with my daughter getting regulated every trimester....but this time my tsh has been high the entire time...they keep putting up my medicine  (currently taking .250 of synthroid).  Just concerned about how it may affect the baby.  Obviously there isnt much I can do...except take my meds and go to the dr. and have my blood taken every month.  Anyone else?

Re: Those with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis

  • Well, I did have Hashimotos and Hyperthyroidism, but I had a total thyroidectomy.  So, I'm currently pregnant with my second baby and both times my TSH has been WAY out of control.  I have bloodwork every four weeks and my meds change each time.  Thats really all you can do.  Try to take your meds at the same time each day on an empty stomach and keep drawing labs.  I know how frustrating it is, just keep a good outlook on it.

  • I'm having trouble with my TSH too.

We've adjusted my meds 2x already and I'm only in first trimester.
